Sorry I've not been blogging...

I have been preparing for exams and I have lost my interest of blogging but since my exams are coming to an end, I have something to share. An old children's film I've watched before when I was a young kid. My aunt had a laser disc of this film.

If you don't know what is a laser disc, this is a laser disc.

A laser disc is like a VCD and DVD that you have them now but a laser disc is larger than the usual modern DVD. Last time, they used to have laser discs players in USA, Asia and other places but they are no longer available now. We now have the modern DVD and Blu-Ray discs. So enjoy the film!!!

Good bye, Term One! Hello, Term Two!

It's already Term Two Week One and everything is getting more stressed up. More homework, more time used, less sleep and most importantly, the MID-YEAR EXAMINATIONS!!! But according to my Continual Assessment 1 2012 results, I passed 5 subjects which are English, Elementary Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Combined Science(Physics and Chemistry) and Principles of Accounts. But I failed 2 subjects, Malay and Combined Humanities(Social Studies and History). I think it's time I should buck up with my weak subjects like Malay, Combined Humanities, Additional Mathematics and English. The criteria to promote to Sec 4 Express, I should pass English and 2 other subjects or pass 5 subjects if I fail English. Even though I'm Secondary 3 Express, my 'O' Level Examinations is one year to go. So I need more improvements in my weak subjects so I could go through the criteria at the end of this school year. Or else, I will go to Secondary 4 Normal Academic.........

Excited and Homesick

I am excited and homesick to go for a 6 Days 5 Nights Camp at Tekam, Pahang, Malaysia with my school.  The reason why I am excited of the camp is that we shall go for a canopy walk, have great accommodation and   have a campfire. The reason why I am homesick is that I will miss my family, my home and the things I do everyday, like going to Facebook and checking my emails and Facebook notifications and messages. But, insya Allah, I will be okay during the camp. So, I would not be blogging from tomorrow, Sunday, 26th February till Friday, 2nd March but after the camp, I could blog about the camp activities in the school camp. So blog you next week.

My experience in detention class at school

Hi, guys. You may have heard my post about the time I was late for school and I went for detention class at my school just now and what the students and I do at there is we do our homework and we read books until we are dismissed around 4, 5 or 6pm which is like some students in this detention class have to be in detention class for about 2 hours or more depending on your behavior in there. So, what I'm trying to say is please do not be late for school and don't break rules at school or you would end up wasting your time in detention class. So, I have this cartoon of SpongBob SquarePants about SpongeBob skipped class at boating school because he and Patrick wanted to get autographs of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy comics and more things to do while skipping class.

Moral of the story(cartoon): Never break rules at school and other places or you'll suffer in the consequences.

Stick to old or new template?

Hi, guys. You may have read my recent post when I was sent for detention class for being late once but now I felt calm and okay thanks to my friends an family who have encouraged me to accept my consequences for a single mistake. Anyway, to cheer myself up, how do you think of my new template? Isn't it more nicer that the other dull template? What do you think? Please post your opinions and comments.

Sorry I'm late!

Ever coming to school late? Well, I'm not always late till then on 9 February 2012, I was late for school for the first time. I was late because I woke up late and I did not realize I have AVA duty(when you play the national anthem and set up microphones for school assemblies) so I ate a biscuit and drank a cup of milk and cycled to school as fast as I can until I missed my AVA duty and was considered late once I arrived at the school hall 10 seconds before the national anthem was played and the discipline teachers considered me late. But one of the discipline teachers, Mr Izham said "You're considered late once the national anthem starts playing." I mean I was outside the school hall 10 seconds before the national anthem was played on that day. Then, I cried and cried and cried because I was given detention class for first time being late for school. So I have to accept it. I just have to stay calm and would not make the same mistake again.

Viewers, for those who had viewed my original post with my negative comments, I apologise. Because I do not want to make an assault to the school with my negative comments about discipline in my school.

Controlling things at a cafe in Finland

You can't believe what I heard from the news. There was a website that could control things like chairs, tables, music and lights at a cafe in Finland. It's totally cool! Just go to http://youdesign.fi and click on a thing that you want to control and that thing you control will follow your command like you wanted the table to go higher, just increase its table height them you shall see the table go higher in the streaming video. Amazing, isn't it? Try it!

Continual Assessment 1 in Singapore

I know. I know what is going on now. Let me guess. Having Common Test and CA1 exams? I thought of that. It's all of the sudden, right? Yeah, same as me. But don't fret. I have some advise for you all. First of all, you should start revising now. The earlier you learn, the more things you need to know will absorb into your brain. Second of all, you must have a healthy diet. I know healthy diets has got to do with losing weight but it could give you vitamins for your brain to function properly. Third of all, you should have enough sleep. You may end up sleeping in class if you don't sleep well. Fourth of all, you should pay attention in class. There might be important things you may need to know for the CA1 like the format, the topics to be tested, etc. Fifth of all, you can ask your teachers if you have any queries. They are the only ones who can give you the right answer to all your questions. And these are things to do well in excel in the Continual Assessment 1.

Accident at Eunos Crescent

You may have heard the news about the accident at Eunos Crescent when a 55-year-old woman was found murdered at the 12th floor of a flat at Eunos Crescent on 26 January 2012, Thursday. That is where I live. Once I reached home from school using my bicycle at about 5.30pm, both lifts at my flat are not in operation because the area surrounding the flat has been cordoned(a line of police enclosing or guarding an area) off for further investigations. That woman was my mom's friend. She was a religious teacher a.k.a 'ustazah', teaching young children about religious studies of Islam at Eunos Crescent. You may watch the Channel News Asia video and refer to these newspaper articles below.

My secret way to study...SSSHHH...Part 2

Okay. Here's my secret. I have time management, assistance and a student handbook. Firstly, I have a student handbook from my school. It may be free or you have to pay some money for this student handbook. They are usually handed out when students go to school. It has pages filled with school information, calendar and some pages for you to write your homework and assignments. Secondly, I have time management because I managed my time to study, rest and play (for a while). On weekdays, I usually have 3 hours of study, homework and assignments, 10 hours of rest (7-8 hours of sleep included), 7-9 hours of school and 2 hours to play. On weekends, I have 8 hours of rest and sleep, 5 hours of study, 5 hours of religious school (only on Sundays) and 6 hours to play and visit my grandmother. Thirdly, I have assistance. I seek help from my teachers, my family and my friends to help me with the questions I do not understand in my homework. I even use the 'ASK! A Librarian' service from National Library Board of Singapore whenever I need help for my assignments and homework. Just go to www.pl.sg and click 'JUST ASK' and type your question, name, email address and contact number and your answer to your question will be sent to you within 3 days via email or call.(Note: This service can only be used in Singapore) And that's it. That's my secret.
